Student Financial Education Services The Student Financial Education Service (SFES) is a joint effort involving the Clemson University Alumni Association, Student Development Services, and Bank of America. Funded by the Clemson Alumni Association, SFES's objective is to provide assistance and educate the students of Clemson University on the subjects of personal finance, consumer credit, and effective money management. SFES assists students in the management of their day-to-day finances and helps them develop individualized financial plans for the future. SFES provides answers on the subjects of monthly budgetary planning, developing a savings plan, and consolidation of bills and other debt. SFES educates students in credit report management and provides information about the process of applying for a car, mortgage, or any other type of loan. SFES is located on campus in room 805 of the University Union. Via telephone or e-mail, students can schedule a cost-free, confidential appointment to discuss their personal financial situation. During personal sessions we can do a complete assessment of a student's financial position, develop spending plans, and schedule periodic review appointments to evaluate progress, if desired. Students will learn how to set and achieve financial goals through efficient financial management.
