South Carolina Botanical Garden Project: Tree House Memorial

The Treehouse will be a special place within the South Carolina Botanical Garden that invites children to experience the wonder of nature.

As a memorial to a family’s loss, The Treehouse will be built in the Children’s Garden in honor of Joseph Jackson (Baby Jack) Turner IV, revealing the love and hope found through the healing power of nature. The Treehouse will be a peaceful sanctuary, a celebration of life that will provide an eternal benefit to others.

Built next to a winding path along a duck pond, the structure will blend into the natural landscape, welcoming small visitors to a place of discovery and exploration. It will promote the educational, emotional and spiritual value found in spending time outdoors, allowing future generations to learn to be responsible stewards of our planet and develop the ingenuity that makes our country strong.

Your gift to the Treehouse will help a legacy of love to change lives.
